  I need a show of hands: who believes the Bible and to what extent?

  i'll start off.. i don't believe anything is divine about bible writings.

  i believe there may be some marginal history although not much.

  i think alot of folk tales and regional myths are contained in the old testament.

  Would The Witnesses Be Happy To See You Come Back to The Kingdom Hall?

  Well I went to my old congregation a few months back and some people smiled, but the Elders put this hard line stance ( my old congregation is very "old school" ) . Since I'm a social pariah ( my ex fiancee really did a number on my reputation ), I was at one point one of the most popular young brothers in Los Angeles. If I do come back I would just come back to tell my side of the story and clear my name ( kind of like that "show Burn Notice").

  My ex-fiancee is a another story of my life I will post later.

  Do Jehovah Witnesses Have a Programs For "Reclamation Projects"

  with the new bible school for single brothers and bible school for christain couples .

  do the witnesses have a program to turn people who been disfellowship or repoved multiple times into elders or ministerial servants?

  in my time as a witness it seems that you need a "sponsor" to give the blessing to move up in the organization.. .

  Did you play tackle football as a good little JW?

  in my town we did.

  each congregation had its own "pick up" team.

  we would get together and play on a chosen sunday after the meetings.

  I think Jehovah Witness should have there own leagues because it may help keep some of the kid in .

  I bumped this thread up because with all the male shortages going around in the congregations . How come they can't start a program to make " good for nothing men into M.S's and Elders ? I mean they can't play this congregation ''favorite game'' anymore .

  JW Funeral experiences / suggestions ?

  i just read in the paper today that an elderly man who was off - on as a witness recently died.. i was friends with his kids back in the 70's, so i am considering going to the memorial.

  it will be on new years day.. since i am da'ed, and have not been inside a kh for around two years, what kind of reaction should i expect ?.

  i am well aware of the shunning, but will i be treated like a criminal once i step inside ?

  bump. This brings back memories , and I did any of you play in Southern California ( when the team were the O.C, Los Angeles, The Bay, and San Degio ).

  In Southern California we used to have football games between September - January ( with the little ''Super Bowl") . I used to remember the football games between L.A and Long Beach ( big rivalry ). We play with team from the Bay area to the O.C . Good time indeed !
